 CPSU has been advised of DOJ’s desire to introduce corporate attire for its Justice customer service officers and have suggested that corporate uniform will form a part of the progression criteria for Justice Officers. CPSU has flagged that this is an inappropriate measure of performance or competence.Contrary to the bulletin issued by DOJ, that gives the impression that CPSU has been extensively consulted, there has been no consultation on this particular matter. CPSU holds the very strong view that the wearing of corporate attire does not indicate competence, performance, adherence to corporate values, nor is it relevant to customer service practices.
