Child Protection Health and Safety PIN's Update for Southern and North West Region

Several meetings took place over the last few weeks at Child Protection offices in Cheltenham, Dandenong, Frankston and Footscray between Management, local HSRs and involving CPSU's OHS Support Officer to ensure all parties were given the opportunity to discuss the OHS issues illustrated by the lack of adequate resources and the high number of families with children at risk.

DHS Management did not offer any reasonable alternative remedy to address the OHS issues raised from Child Protection HSRs representing their DWGs.  

As a consequence one PIN was issued at Footscray, three at Dandenong and two at Cheltenham.

After all final Entry Reports have been received from WorkSafe Inspectors, CPSU is pleased to announce that all PINs have been upheld with some modifications.
