A proposal to refine the Strategy and Policy Branch within the Government Service Group has been announced.

The proposal affects reporting lines for some staff including:

• Moving all strategy and policy positions into one unit managed by an Assistant Director
• A move of the unit that supports the Victorian Government Purchasing Board to report to the Director
• Recruitment of a Strategic Communications role as a report to the Director

The Department alleges that ‘the total number of FTE staff and the number of roles at each VPS classification will not change as a result’.  Nonetheless, concerned members should contact the Industrial Organiser for DTF, Yana Canteloupe, on 9639 1822.
