I have a problem at work. How do I get help? Print E-mail

I'm having a problem at work, and I need help to sort it out. What do I do next?

The first thing you should do is call the union.

One of our experienced Industrial Advisors will listen to your problem and advise you on your rights, and the next step to take.

With many workplace problems, simply knowing your rights will allow you to resolve the issue with your management or HR department.

In almost all circumstances the first step to resolving a problem quickly lies with you raising the problem directly with line management and telling them what you would like done to fix the problem.

In the event that the issue cannot be resolved the union can help you exercise your rights by taking on the issue as an active case.

To proceed to this level you should fill in a CPSU "Application for Representation" form. This can be done online, or by downloading and completing the form then faxing it to us on (03) 9662 4591.

Once received, your application will be reviewed by the lead Entitlements and Compliance Officer and assigned to the most appropriate Industrial Officer.
